For those eagerly awaiting the iPhone 16, there’s good news. The launch date for the iPhone 16 series has reportedly been leaked. Although Apple hasn’t officially announced the date, it’s now suggested that the company will reveal the new models on September 10. The phones should be on sale from September 20. Even though there’s still over a month before the launch, numerous leaks and rumors have already provided hints about what to expect from the upcoming iPhones.

What to Expect from the iPhone 16 Models (Leaked Information)

Leaked images of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro Max have revealed the new color options for the series. The base iPhone 16 will offer a white color option instead of the yellow found in previous models. The iPhone 15 Pro Max will have slightly darker color shades compared to its predecessor. The base model will also feature a vertical camera layout to support spatial video.

Reports suggest that the iPhone 16 Pro Max may come with a larger 6.9-inch screen. Improvements in peak brightness are also expected. Some rumors indicate that the display borders may become thinner, shrinking from 1.55 mm to 1.15 mm compared to previous models.

Processors in Each Model

For performance, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max are likely to feature the A18 Pro chip. This chip is expected to deliver more CPU power than the A17 Pro and handle on-device AI tasks more efficiently. The A18 Pro chip will be built on TSMC’s second-generation 3nm process.

A18 chip

As for the non-Pro models, it’s still unclear whether Apple will use the same A18 Pro chip or stick with last year’s chipset, as seen in previous iPhone generations. Recent reports suggest that Apple might use the A17 Pro chip in the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. However, backend code hints that the non-Pro models might feature a “cut-down” version of the A18 chipset. These details are still unofficial as Apple has not yet confirmed them.
